- Aiding in the construction of concrete structures by supplying necessary equipment and materials to their needed location i.e. formwork, lumber, tools.
- Carrying and installing reinforcing steel
- Removal of formwork
- Helping to maintain a clean and orderly job site
- Upon learning and being around the field, the natural progression of a laborer is to accept more responsibilities and become a concrete tradesman.
- Constructing/assembling formwork in preparation for concrete placement.
- Assemble and tie rebar according to project documents
- Place, consolidate and top off concrete in footings, walls, and other assemblies.
- Removal of concrete forms after placement
- Construct formwork for flatwork related concrete placements i.e. slab formwork, sidewalks, stairs, ramps, etc..
- Place, consolidate and level concrete flatwork
- Finish concrete to project specifications, whether it be smooth troweled floors, broom finished exterior work, and so on.
- Operate, or aid in the operation of concrete finishing equipment, such as power trowels, ride on power trowels, truss screeds, laser screeds, etc.
